A healthy and decadent anniversary dinner

Anniversary Dinner

August marks our wedding anniversary every year.  This year is our 9th wedding anniversary.  We never go out to eat.  I can make a better dinner at home that costs way less than a restaurant.  This year I challenged myself to make a dinner that was a treat, but didn’t bust our diets.  I think this steak and chocolate mousse dinner and dessert fits the bill.

For the main course I made: Beef Fillets with Pomegranate Pinot Sauce from Hello Healthy

I made a side of steamed broccoli (5oz serving) and sauteed carrot (2.8 oz serving) (low calorie and loads of vitamin A and C)

Finally I made a desert with avocado and chocolate!  Healthy Dark Chocolate Vegan Avocado Mousse from Hello Glow.
